We are excited to announce that Yoko Kawai joined the Research Advisory to the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). Yoko, a co-founder of Mirai Work Space and Lecturer at Yale School of Architecture, is honored to be a part of this interdisciplinary and international group of researchers and practitioners. She previously served to its Task Force for COVID-19.

The IWBI Research advisory identifies gaps, opportunities, and emerging research related to health and the built environment. In 2021, it will focus on activating the Global Research Agenda that this team created last year. The Agenda identifies 12 key impact topics, as well as sector-specific strategies for translating research to practice.
To this very active team, Yoko will bring her non-Western perspectives and help them bridge the research and practice both in the U.S. and in Japan. She is very happy to be able to explore this new path to create and promote “Space for Well-being.”
